Our library has received an Excellent Accreditation rating from the Nebraska Library Commission, and a "5 Star Rating in 6 Editions" from the Library Journal Magazine.

Along with books, eReaders, magazines, audio books, DVDs and cake pans for check out, the library also offers free Internet and wireless Internet access, along with computers and printing.  There is a microfilm reader/printer and genealogy resources available.  Interlibrary loan of materials is an option available for items not available in our collection.  Nebraska OverDrive has an extensive collection of audiobooks and eBooks that are available for checkout, using your library patron number.

The library also has a meeting room, multimedia projectors/laptop, Cricut Expression Cutter, laminator, scanner, and a fax machine available for public use.

For community outreach, the library offers preschool story times, storytime road trips,
after school read-a-longs, and a summer reading program.   Humanities programs and educational classes are offered at various times throughout the year.

The library has an adult book discussion group that meets monthly,
and it delivers selected materials to the Senior Center.  GED classes are also held regularly at the library.

A library card is issued free to all patrons who reside in Merrick County.
