The Central City Cemetery is the largest cemetery in Merrick County.  We currently have over 5,400 marked burials and over 1,500 remaining spaces throughout the property.

Burial spaces are sold in any quantity you might need.

Burial spaces cost $250 each for Central City residents and $400 each for out-of-town purchasers.  Infant spaces are available for $100 for all purchasers.

A fee of $425 is charged to open and close a grave site.  Cremation burials are $200.

A cemetery Directory is located at the entrance for the convenience of those looking for loved ones along with burial dates.  Patrons may also obtain information by calling or writing the Cemetery Office at 308-946-2651 or 1915 Highway 30, Central City, NE 68826.

A Memorial Day service is held each year at the flag pole in the northeast section of the cemetery.

There are rules and regulations regarding the placement of decorations on graves sites and the planting of flowers and trees.  Please contact the office prior to placing anything on a gravesite.

The cemetery is well maintained and the public is asked to help keep the cemetery looking nice by not throwing paper on the grounds.  Trash cans are placed in various locations in the cemetery for the convenience of the public to discard any trash or old flowers.
